Aijai found out the hard way that more money isn’t always a better opportunity.
She left Chipotle in 2017 on very good terms for a job that paid more money. “But it was poorly organized and poorly managed,” she said. “And it was boring!”
After being unemployed for three months, Aijai went to the job fair hoping for something new. And now she’s back at the job she actually liked at Chipotle. “I know now that it’s such a good company. I feel like it was meant to be.”
It was also meant to be that she attended the Opportunity ATL fair in May, because she said she made several contacts and got great tips with interviewing. Though she ironically landed at the company she had previously left, Aijai says attending the job fair was so worthwhile. Not only would she never have thought to go back to Chipotle were it not for the company being at the fair, but the whole experience today really opened my eyes to all that’s out there for me.
